Detail

What this covers

Panel and sampling covers the access side of a study: finding respondents who match the screener and can be shown, afterward, to have actually matched it. The scope spans consumer and B2B sample, healthcare and other low-incidence audiences, hard-to-reach segments, and blended sourcing where no single supplier can carry a market on its own. It is available as a standalone service on a study you are otherwise running yourself, not only bundled into a full fieldwork engagement.

When you need it

Reach for this when a study needs respondents an in-house list cannot supply — a general population sample at scale, a low-incidence audience like a specific condition or job function, or coverage across markets where you have no existing panel relationship. It matters most when incidence is genuinely uncertain: a category estimate can be off by enough to blow a timeline, and feasibility checked against the real screener before committing is what prevents that surprise mid-field. It is also worth using on a study you are otherwise running yourself, purely for the sourcing and verification layer, if reaching a hard-to-find audience is the part your own list cannot cover.

How an engagement runs

Feasibility is checked against the actual screener text, not a category estimate, so the incidence you are quoted going in is the incidence you get once field opens. Where a market needs blending across suppliers to hit quota, you are told which suppliers and why before fieldwork opens, not after a shortfall forces the decision under time pressure. Every respondent passes identity and duplication checks before they enter the survey, and fraud signals — inconsistent geolocation, implausibly fast completion, patterned answers seen elsewhere in the same field period — are screened on an ongoing basis rather than caught in a single pass at the end. Quota cells are monitored as they fill, so a cell running slow gets flagged with time left to react rather than discovered at the close-out.

What you get

Sample delivered to quota with a provenance record behind it for every complete: source, screening outcomes, and the specific fraud and duplication checks it passed, available on request. Where sourcing was blended across suppliers, the split is documented by source, so you know exactly where your respondents came from rather than taking a single “sample” line on faith. If a quota cell had to flex during field — a threshold relaxed to hit a hard-to-reach segment, for instance — that decision is recorded alongside the delivery rather than left for you to notice on your own.
